Neither The carpet shop Swindon Ltd nor any fitter undertake to carry out any redecoration, except where damage has been caused by that person’s negligence. Gloss painted skirting boards need a minimum of 4 days to ensure they are completely dry. When fitters are removing old carpet and installing new there are occasions when the back may rub against the paint work which is sometimes unavoidable. This may leave a mark especially on darker colour paints, please note this is the dry latex dust from the backing on the carpet it should come off with a clean wet cloth but on some occasions may need a feathering of paint over the affected area. This is more likely to happen in enclosed areas of fitting especially hallways, stairs and landings. This is not classed as damage.

If you are unsure we can stick down the gripper at a cost of 50p per meter.
Please note we endeavour to include all costs prior to writing up an order, on rare occasions there may be a problem hidden by the old flooring. General Advice with your new Carpet
If after fitting you notice a line in the Carpet don't panic, 99% of the time it is a pressure mark from the tube the Carpet was wrapped on for delivery. It happens when the edge of the Carpet presses into the pile when wrapped around the tube. This lines usually clears very quickly depending on home temperature but can take up to 2 weeks to clear. Unless you have had sisal or other styles of natural flooring you are able to hoover the carpet straight away. Natural flooring needs to be left for 24 hours to ensure the glue used for fitting has cured. Most suppliers have web sites that give aftercare advise on cleaning and maintaining your new flooring. If you do not know who the manufacturer is please contact the store and we can point you in the right direction. If your Carpet has an extended warranty or guarantee offered by the manufacturer please ensure you register your purchase (usually on line) to validate the offer. The Carpet Shop (Swindon) Ltd. prides itself on offering all our customers good service and honest advice. We strive to keep our customers happy. If you have any questions or worries please do not hesitate to contact us and seek advice.
We hope you love your new flooring and hope you tell your family and friends. Please feel free to leave your comments on our FACEBOOK PAGE Thank you from Paulyne, Howard, Tom and our team of fitters
